TIFF Celebrates 50 Years! 🎬

What began in 1976 as the “Festival of Festivals” has exploded into one of the world’s premier film events, and this year, The Toronto International Film Festival is celebrating its blockbuster 50th anniversary in style. From September 4 to 14, Toronto lights up as “Hollywood North,” with ten days of red carpets, star-studded premieres, and electrifying screenings that span Hollywood’s biggest hits, daring documentaries, and breakout Canadian talent. The city becomes a dazzling playground for film lovers and celebrities alike—buzzing with non-stop glamour, excitement, and cinematic magic.
Here’s a lineup of the who’s who of celebs expected to grace our streets!
Headliners & Big Premieres
Angelina Jolie will launch the world premiere of Couture, playing a filmmaker at Paris Fashion Week. I’ll like this one for sure!!!
Keanu Reeves, returning to TIFF after over a decade, headlines Good Fortune -Aziz Ansari’s directorial debut. The most humble superstar ever – of course, he’s Canadian!
Channing Tatum makes his much-anticipated return with Roofman, joined by co-star Kirsten Dunst and director Derek Cianfrance. This is a gripping true crime story, so no Magic Mike in this one, ladies.
Matthew McConaughey stars in The Lost Bus, a gripping drama based on real events. Did you know that Woody Harrelson and Matthew may be half brothers? Rumour has it that Woody’s dad and Matthew’s mom may have hooked up and DNA tests are in the works!
