Sotheby’s Global Networking Event in Las Vegas!

I attended the Sotheby’s International Realty GNE (Global Networking Event) in Las Vegas this past week. It was the first post pandemic networking event held in person with nearly 3000 attendees from over 40 countries and while it was a little (or maybe a alot ?!?) overwhelming being my first ever GNE, I soon adapted. I feel truly honoured to be a part of this well respected brand and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to network and build relationships with partners from across the globe. You can only imagine how much fun it was too! Be sure to check out the video I made.

This year’s keynote speaker was Indra Nooyi, one of the most influential thinkers of our generation. Guests also heard from two incredible mainstage speakers, including Sotheby’s CEO Charles Stewart and restaurateur Will Guidara.

I watched presentations on sales and marketing best practices and attended workshops with industry leaders on negotiation, hospitality, work/life balance, international markets among other topics plus I got to take a look at the direction of the Sotheby’s realty brand itself and how it relates to our renowned auction house. I’ll be sharing more info with you about all of this as the year unfolds so stay tuned!

From elevator hugs to poolside parties and elegant dinner meetings, I got to learn about other markets and made so many new friends – agents from French Polynesia, St. Maarten, Belgium, Germany, India, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and from Arizona, Colorado, California, Oregon, Washington DC, New York, NY and of course sunny South Florida, my second home! Making connections with agents like myself, learning how to serve our clients in better ways than ever, sharing my love of Toronto, our current market trends (as it turns out low inventory levels are a worldwide occurrence) and how the foreign buyers ban is not entirely insurmountable were just a few of the topics du jour. Through these relationships, I am able to grow and share ideas. I’ve have also been able to add more agents to my incredible relocation database – so I can refer your friends and family to a 5-Star Agent, no matter where they are going.

So while my circadian rhythm is a little off, (Vegas can do that!) I begin this day with gratitude for so much. My life, my family (blood and otherwise), my friends (local and global), my health and sanity (non negotiables) and last but certainly not least my work (mostly fun, never dull and truly awe inspiring – it really brings meaning to my life to help you fulfill your dreams 💞).

Sotheby’s storied brand and our noble heritage define luxury at its best but luxury today is defined in so many other ways that denote a luxury experience rather than a price point. So whether your next home is a starter condo in Toronto or an oceanfront home in Costa Rica, I can help you achieve that dream.
