What a year it’s been. I’m with you in terms of looking forward to a brighter more positive 2021. Hopefully it will be a year in which we’ll see the back side of Covid 19.
Realtors have been classified as essential workers so my life hasn’t changed that much. People bought, people sold, people moved and relocated. Transactions closed without a hitch. The lawyers continued to work as did the movers, the mortgage brokers, the insurance companies and the home inspectors.
The world is fragile but humanity is resilient. We zoomed, we face timed, we skyped, we did drive bys and we met in parking lots at a distance of 6 feet. We proved that we are interdependent regardless of whether we live in isolation or not. Many of us took inventory of our lives and learned that what we once thought was important wasn’t really important at all. We reorganized, we revised, we purged literally and figuratively. We especially learned that our mental health counts. Keeping one another buoyed during hard times counts. Staying fit and eating healthy counts. Spending virtual time with others counts.
So as you and your loved ones celebrate the holidays and the end of 2020 please remember to find gratitude in all things big and small. Practice being joyous even when you don’t feel like it. Pay attention and pivot as necessary. Know that this too shall pass and that we’ll all come out the other side stronger and wiser than we’ve ever been.
Don’t take this virus lightly. Stay well, stay safe and I’ll see you again in 2021.
